AMD Phenom II X6 processors released

Tuesday 26th of April 2010 saw the release of two of AMDs new X6 processors.
The X6 1055T running at 2.80GHz and the X6 1090T Black Edition running at 3.2GHz. Both processors are AM3 chips and compatible with AM2+ motherboards as long as you have a suitable BIOS update.

Most 7 series AMD motherboards support the X6 processors with a BIOS update and all 8 series AMD motherboards have support already. Check your manufacturer support for a BIOS update.
Prices for the processors are around £150 for the 1055T and £250 for the 1090T Black Edition. Aria currently have these on offer, but it’s unknown how long that will last for.
